Perennial Herb or Subshrub: Tolerates drought, deer & gophers. Discovered at the UC-Santa Cruz Arboretum & named after Phyllis Norris. Thought to be a hybrid of Salvia leucantha & possibly chiapensis. Nice bushy shrub. Attracts butterflies & hummingbirds. Bloom color: lavender tinted white w/bicolored calyx, dark inky blue on top & green below. Size: 4-5' x 4-5'. Exposure: sun/part shade. Water: moderate./dry. USDA Z7.
