Beautiful heirloom from the south of France w/large flattened fruits that are heavily ribbed. Green when immature, turning lovely dp-orng brown when fully ripe. The dp orng flesh is a particular favorite of chefs for its fine moderately sweet & nutty flavor. In France, wedges are sold in supermarkets & farmers' markets for cooking. Decorative. Ht: 24-30".
