Perennial: Deer resistant. A favorite since the 1800s. Leafy-stemmed plant with darling heart-shaped pendant flowers on arching stems! Good border, cut flower, woodland & cottage garden plant. Attracts hummingbirds. Blooms: spring-summer. Summer dormant. Color: pink. Height: 24-36 inches. Width: 18 inches. Exposure: part shade. Water: moderate. USDA Z3. (The genus name was changed in 1993, but not published until 2006.)
