Perennial: Evergreen. Drought tolerant. Native to the Honshu Island coastline and slopes of Japan. It spreads via rhizomes and can become quite aggressive in ideal conditions. During late fall it is covered with attractive clusters of bright yellow button-like flowers. Best grown in rock gardens or as ground cover for sunny sites. Height: 10-12". Spread: 3-4'. USDA Z5.
