One of the larger Napa Cabbages. Produces large 12" football-shaped heads with overlapping golden leaves that have a good, mild, sweet flavor. Slow to bolt. A great substitute for lettuce or traditional cabbage. Great fresh, cooked or pickled for kimchee. Also good for stir fry or braised, also adds depth of flavor to soups. Excellent early summer variety. Dense, solid heads are very spherical, 5-7" in diameter & weigh 3-5 lbs. Delicate but crunchy texture. Sweet, spicy flavor with buttery undertones when cooked. Compact habit ideal for small gardens that can be planted closer together than other cabbage varieties. Great for slow cooking, slaws & sauerkraut. Height: 12-15". Plant in part shade.
