ROSA 'Winchester Cathedral' (syn. 'Auscat') (own root)

A white sport of 'Mary Rose'. Produces masses of large, loose petalled, fragrant rosettes. The large, cup-shaped, double white 6" blooms have tinges of pink & continues to bloom throughout the summer. Some blooms revert to solid pink. The scent is Old Rose mixed with honey & almond. Good cut flower. Petal count: 60-85. Dark green foliage. Nearly thornless. Medium, bushy habit. Ht: 3-4'. Width: 3-4'. Border, bed, hedge & container plant. USDA Z5. (1988)
