Herbaceous ornamental pepper that is most noted for its nearly black foliage & 3/4-inch pearl-shaped peppers that change from black to bt. red. Ovate leaves (to 3” long) emerge green but quickly turn shiny black. Fruits are edible but extremely hot-above 30,000 units on the Scoville scale. 2006 All-America Selection winner.
