Annual: California and western US native. Drought, deer, sand and clay tolerant. Appetite and low grower often found growing with California poppies. Has clusters of sweet-pea shaped flowers. Nice cut flower. Attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Bloom time: spring-summer. Bloom color: rich blue with a white or yellow spot. Height: 6-20 inches. Exposure: sun. Water: moderate. Considered toxic if directly ingested.
