Heirloom-French variety first introduced to Americans on the PBS series, “The Victory Garden” & described in Vilmorin’s The Vegetable Garden in 1885. This Bibb-type produces flavorful, red tinted butterhead lettuce. Heads form quickly! It can be grown nearly year round as it keeps firm even under hot weather.
