Shrub: Mophead type (Hortensia). Deciduous plant with large rounded 6" clusters of bright blue flowers (grayish blue to pink in alkaline soils). Good in borders & pots. Nice cut flowers, fresh or dried. Blooms: summer-fall. Vigorous & free-flowering. Deer & gopher resistant. Rounded growth, 5-6'. Sun on coast, part shade inland. Water: moderate. USDA Z5-9.
